6:20 p.m.: N.C. Supreme Court Justice Paul Newby, who is running for Chief Justice, addresses the convention:
6:18 p.m.: The alternate elector slate has been approved.
6:06 p.m.: the elector slate was approved; now voting on alternate electors. The slate is comprised of Kathryn Lawler and Brenda Rembert.
6:01 p.m.: Lt. Governor candidate Mark Robinson to delegates: "It is time for Republicans and conservatives to stand up and fight.... we've got to stand firm for the Second Amendment. This election is an absolute referendum between freedom and tyranny."
5:58 p.m.: Chairman Whatley: "There is no map that gets President Trump re-elected that does not come through North Carolina."

12:37 p.m. -- Whatley discusses the importance of North Carolina in the Presidential race, says that Thom Tillis' re-election campaign is the number one U.S. Senate race in the nation and that North Carolina also has the number one Governor's race in the nation.
12:30 p.m. -- Chairman Michael Whatley has called the convention to order. He offered tongue-in-cheek thanks to Governor Roy Cooper for the "opportunity" to have a virtual convention. The convention opened with an invocation, the Pledge of Allegiance, and the National Anthem.
