Congressman Butterfield Statement on the Passing of Bishop J.N. Perry, Jr.
Today, Congressman G. K. Butterfield (D-NC) issued the following statement on the passing of Bishop John Nicolas Perry, Jr., Senior Bishop of Perry’s Temple Original Free Will Baptist Church in Wilson, North Carolina.
“We have lost a giant in Wilson, North Carolina’s own; Bishop J.N. Perry, Jr. He was a preacher’s preacher, a devoted family man and a true servant of God. His years of dedicated service and ministry have made an indelible impact on the Wilson community and countless others. He was a friend, and he will be dearly missed, but never forgotten.”
