Rep. Ted Budd’s Bill to Rename PTIA Tower After Sen. Kay Hagan Passes Congress
Rep. Ted Budd (NC-13) released a statement after his bill to rename the air traffic control tower at Piedmont Triad International Airport after the late-Sen. Kay Hagan passed the House. The bill has already passed the Senate and now goes to the President for his signature.
The bill was sponsored by Sens. Richard Burr, Thom Tillis, Amy Klobuchar, and Mark Warner; and Reps. David Price, Mark Walker, David Rouzer, George Holding, Greg Murphy, Alma Adams, and G.K. Butterfield.
Rep. Budd said in a statement:
“Sen. Hagan was a dedicated public servant to our state and it’s infrastructure, and I’m glad that PTI Airport’s ATC tower will soon bear her name. This is a worthy tribute to a fine North Carolinian.”
