RALEIGH - U.S. Representative Dan Bishop filed to run for North Carolina Attorney General Friday, alongside family, friends and supporters.

It's been more than a century since a Republican was elected North Carolina's top prosecutor and the result is a justice system that is weak on crime, hyper-political, and unwilling to defend our Constitutional rights and freedoms. We're going to change that culture, starting today.

After announcing for Attorney General in August, Bishop raised over $900,000 in the first 10 days of the campaign, a record for statewide candidates in North Carolina. He has been endorsed by the Republican Attorney Generals Association and the Club for Growth.
