Deborah Ross statement on filing for reelection
Raleigh, N.C. — Congresswoman Deborah Ross will file for reelection to represent North Carolina’s Second Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives. She is running for her third term representing this seat, which includes most of Wake County. Prior to serving in this position, she represented Wake County for more than a decade in the General Assembly.
“Representing the people of Wake County in Congress is the greatest honor of my life,” said Congresswoman Ross. “I am incredibly proud of everything that my team and I have accomplished for North Carolina’s Second Congressional District, especially delivering more than $20 million in federal benefits back to Wake County residents and successfully passing 11 bills on a range of issues to help North Carolina’s people. However, there is still so much work to do.
“I pledge to continue delivering real results for the people of Wake County. I won't stop fighting to protect our rights and our democracy. I won't stop working to build a better and brighter future for all.
"At this crucial moment for our nation, I look forward to working hard to secure the votes of the people of the Second District and serving as their voice in Washington for another term.”
