With nearly $22 billion of clean energy investments unveiled across North Carolina, 2024 marks a significant milestone in the state’s energy leadership. The Clean Economy Tracker (CET), shows a large investment in clean energy projects in North Carolina. For instance, recent major investors include Siemens Energy AG, Toyota, and Atom Power and all together 17,000 new clean energy jobs have been created in the Tar Heel State.  

New polling data from Centerline Liberties found widespread bipartisan support among North Carolina voters for clean energy manufacturing and infrastructure. Almost three-quarters of voters – including a majority of Republican and unaffiliated voters – say Congress should continue funding these investments. Further, nearly two-thirds of voters believe these energy investments will have a positive impact.

It’s clear that Tar Heel voters want their elected officials to support investments in infrastructure and American made clean energy. Thanks to the principled leadership of U.S. Sen. Tillis and others, we’re already seeing the benefits of the bipartisan infrastructure law, which is bringing millions of dollars of new investments to the state and bolstering North Carolina as a leader in advanced  energy development and next generation manufacturing.
