Raleigh, NC – The North Carolina House of Representatives has given bipartisan approval to House Bill 263, the “2024 Appropriations Act.” The House budget includes investments in teacher and state employee raises, childcare funding, and it fully funds Opportunity Scholarships.
North Carolina House Speaker Tim Moore said,
“The House budget funds critical needs like child care, Opportunity Scholarships, and raises for our teachers and state employees. I’m confident that this fiscally responsible budget strikes the right balance of conservative spending and prioritizing our needs in Biden’s economy. I am proud that this budget has received bipartisan support in our chamber.”
