Trump poised to win North Carolina

President Donald Trump leads Democrat Joe Biden by 76,701 votes with 100% of the precincts counted.

According to the N.C. State Board of Elections website, there were approximately 117,000 outstanding absentee ballots as of 7:30 p.m. on Election Day. The NCSBE website adds that this number does not yet account for voters who cast a ballot on Election Day. According to our calculations, if 100% of these ballots end up being cast, Trump would still win the state even if he only receives 20% of the outstanding absentee votes.
