Raleigh, N.C. – On Tuesday, May 13, Justice Allison Riggs will be certified as the winner of the 2024 North Carolina Supreme Court election.
Six months ago, Justice Riggs won re-election to her Supreme Court seat – a victory confirmed by two separate, independent recounts. Now, after millions of dollars spent, thousands of volunteer hours, and more than 68,000 voters’ ballots put at risk of being thrown out, the last uncertified 2024 race is over. Justice Riggs’ election has been affirmed by the federal district court, and her opponent has finally conceded.
Following this victory for North Carolina voters and the rule of law, Justice Allison Riggs will be sworn in by Justice Anita Earls alongside North Carolina voters.
