Leader Reives Statement on DEI Legislation

"This Session's focus on DEI is the same tired playbook we have seen year after year from Republican Leadership: Find a cultural issue that national Republicans are using to divide people and bring it to North Carolina," House Democratic Leader Robert Reives said. "This is just another distraction when North Carolinians want their leaders focused on lowering prices, raising pay and protecting health care coverage. Instead of passing the relief that Western North Carolina desperately needs, House and Senate Republicans are letting political divisions between themselves slow the funding those communities needed yesterday."
