Murphy to Visit Western North Carolina Alongside Tillis, Budd, Rouzer, Troxler
Greenville, NC — Congressman Greg Murphy, M.D. issued the following statement in anticipation of his visit to Asheville, NC and surrounding areas tomorrow to survey Hurricane Helene damage and recovery efforts:
"Eastern North Carolina has a history of devastating natural disasters," said Congressman Greg Murphy, M.D. "In those situations, Western North Carolina has been there to support us and we will do the same for them. Over the course of my life, I have served in many recovery efforts as a physician, including after Hurricane Katrina. Further, I host an annual summit focused on flood mitigation. I understand the complexities of these situations and hope to helpful in dealing with this catastrophe."
