Representative Maria Cervania Seeks Reelection for House District 41
CARY, N.C. - Representative Maria Cervania announced that she will run for reelection to State House District 41 in 2024. District 41 includes Morrisville, Briar Creek, and parts of Cary. She has served in this office since January of 2023.
Representative Cervania brought her public service experience in community health and emergency response to the North Carolina General Assembly with a steadfast resolution to improve North Carolina’s healthcare. She worked to accomplish the decades-long goal of Medicaid Expansion with bipartisan support. She recognized the unique potential of North Carolina’s economy and pushed for economic development in diverse industries. Her work in the legislature created new jobs and brought new companies to our state. In the face of adversity, Representative Cervania stood firmly to protect women’s right to reproductive care and everyone’s right to live, work, and love without fear. In her sophomore term, she will continue to ensure all North Carolinians receive access to the clean energy, fair pay, and quality education they deserve. Representative Cervania is one of the first Asian American women to be elected to the State Legislature and strongly believes in showing her gratitude and commitment to all communities through her work as a public servant.
“It has been an unbelievable honor to serve the people of District 41 and work alongside such admirable legislators this past term,” Representative Cervania said. “The people of both my old and new district have truly taught me what it means to be a leader. There is still much work to be done and people who need our support. It would be an honor to serve this community and all North Carolinians in another term.”
