Senator Ted Budd Receives Commerce Subcommittee Assignments for 118th Congress

Washington, D.C. — Senator Ted Budd (R-NC) received his subcommittee assignments for the Senate Commerce Committee for the 118th Congress.

He will serve as the ranking member of the Subcommittee on Tourism, Trade, and Export Promotion, as well as a member on the following subcommittees:

  • Communications, Media, and Broadband

  • Surface Transportation, Maritime, Freight, and Ports

  • Consumer Protection, Product Safety, and Data Security

Ranking Member Ted Cruz said in a statement:

“For generations, American industries and the products they have brought to the market have made an indelible mark on the rest of our world. To continue this grand tradition, I know Senator Budd will pursue policies that will enable economic growth and expand access for American businesses to the global marketplace.”

Sen. Budd said in a statement:

“Whether it’s improving our ports and coastal infrastructure, expanding broadband access, or strengthening North Carolina’s economic competitiveness, I am honored to be able to serve on these subcommittees and make life better for every North Carolinian.”
