Governor Roy Cooper announced today the nomination of Judge Tenisha Jacobs to serve as Special Superior Court Judge with a designation to the Business Court. She has been nominated to serve as a Special Superior Court Judge to fill the vacancy that was created on December 30, 2021.
“These appointees bring years of experience and leadership to the bench,” said Governor Cooper. “I am confident that they will serve their districts with dedication and honor.”

Governor Roy Cooper has appointed Brad Salmon to serve as District Court Judge to Judicial District 11, which serves Johnston, Harnett and Lee counties. He will fill the vacant seat created by the retirement of the Honorable Caron H. Stewart.

Chief Justice Paul Newby has appointed District Court Judge James Moore to serve as chief district court judge for Onslow County effective November 1, 2021. Judge Moore will fill the vacancy left by Chief District Court Judge Sarah Seaton who will retire on October 31.
Governor Roy Cooper has appointed Frederick B. Adams, II to serve as District Court Judge in Judicial District 21, serving Forsyth County. He will fill the vacant seat formerly held by the Honorable Lisa V. Menefee.
