A North Carolina election administration bill became law Tuesday, extending several ballot cure deadlines and changing procedures for absentee ballots, provisional ballots, early voting equipment and court review of State Board of Elections decisions.
A unanimously approved Senate bill would extend the deadline for correcting certain absentee-ballot problems from three to five business days after an election.
Republicans in the North Carolina Senate overrode three of Gov. Roy Cooper’s vetoes. The General Assembly has successfully overridden all 22 of Gov. Cooper's vetoes this biennium.
