According to the most-recent ranking I can find, North Carolina requires state-approved licenses in more occupations (nearly 200) than most other states do. North Carolina licenses twice as many occupations as Virginia does, and three times as many as South Carolina.
The N.C. Division of Motor Vehicles, which last week resumed regular road testing for certain drivers after a year absence, is also going to bring back Saturday hours at select driver license offices, as well as expand weekday hours at more than two dozen locations.
Occupational therapists who move to North Carolina would have an easier time getting back to work under a bill in the General Assembly.
