RALEIGH - North Carolina election officials extended voting at five precincts in four counties Tuesday and said the first unofficial statewide results are expected around 8:15 p.m., after all polling places close.
A North Carolina election administration bill became law Tuesday, extending several ballot cure deadlines and changing procedures for absentee ballots, provisional ballots, early voting equipment and court review of State Board of Elections decisions.
