Playground manufacturers abandon merger challenged by North Carolina
Playground equipment manufacturers PlayPower and BCI Burke have abandoned a proposed merger challenged by North Carolina and other states, ending a transaction regulators alleged would increase costs for schools, parks departments and other buyers.
