WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Senator Thom Tillis (R-NC) released a plan of action that offers solutions to protect the health and well-being of North Carolinians, defeat COVID-19, and help us return safely to our normal lives.
Tillis’ plan of action calls for reforms to boost the domestic production and safety of PPE for health care and frontline workers, expedite the approval and deployment of testing, and promote faster treatment and cures while preventing adversaries like Russia and China from sabotaging our progress.
Tillis’ plan also offers commonsense solutions to help keep North Carolina families, workers, and job creators safe and highlights Tillis’ support for federal assistance for child care services and funding for states to ensure students are provided with a safe and quality education.

“Our state and nation are at war with COVID-19, and my sole focus is protecting the physical and economic health of North Carolinians so we can defeat this virus and safely return back to our normal lives,” said Senator Tillis. “I’ve been working across the aisle to support our hospitals, save jobs, and help North Carolinians during this crisis. While we’ve made progress, we still have work to do to get through this pandemic, which is why I’m offering a plan of action to advance testing, boost PPE production, and protect the jobs and livelihoods of North Carolinians who are weathering this storm.”
