Walker Honors Graham’s Brittany Giordano as Community Hero of the Month

GREENSBORO, N.C. – U.S. Representative Mark Walker (R-N.C.) honored Brittany Giordano as the Sixth District Community Hero of the Month for September 2020.  Each month, Walker awards a constituent, business, or organization for displaying extraordinary acts of service and for making a difference in the lives around them.

Brittany goes out of her way to provide our veterans, senior citizens and caregivers with the respect and compassion they deserve as they make vital decisions regarding their futures,” Walker said. “With community heroes like Brittany, our most vulnerable North Carolinians are in good hands.

At Brookdale Burlington Senior Living, Brittany goes the extra mile to serve others, with an emphasis on veterans. Inspired to serve seniors through her family’s experience with dementia in her early years, she first worked as a caregiver and moved into a career in sales and marketing. During the pandemic, she has partnered with other organizations to provide a special drive-thru lunch for local veterans and makes sure families have the resources they need. She previously served as the Chair of Special Services and is a current board member of the Alamance County Service League.

Brittany Giordano lives in Graham with her husband, two children, and two dogs. She was presented with a certificate and a flag which was flown over the U.S. Capitol.
