Governor Cooper Announces Two Judicial Appointments
RALEIGH: Governor Roy Cooper announced two appointments to the North Carolina District Court.
“Judge Boger-Allen and Bryan Norris bring a variety of legal experience to the District Court bench and have served our state well over the years,” said Governor Cooper. “I’m grateful for their continued dedication to the people of North Carolina and I’m confident they will continue to serve our state with distinction in these new positions.”
Bryan Norris has been appointed to serve as District Court Judge in Judicial District 17, serving Alamance County. He will fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Brad Allen. Norris is currently a Judicial Law Clerk for the North Carolina Court Supreme Court. He previously served as a clerk for the Court of Appeals and as a Civil Litigation Associate for Sharpless & Stavola, P.A. He received his Bachelor of Arts from Davidson College and his Juris Doctor from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Law.
Juanita Boger-Allen has been appointed to serve as District Court Judge in Judicial District 25, serving Cabarrus County. She will fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Steve Grossman. Boger-Allen served as District Court Judge in Cabarrus County from 2019-2023. Prior to that, she served as a solo practitioner and the owner of her own practice, The Law Office of Juanita Boger-Allen, P.A. She received her Bachelor of Arts from North Carolina A&T State University and her Juris Doctor from the Michigan State University College of Law.
