Rep. Price Condemns Putin’s Unprovoked and Barbaric Invasion of Ukraine

WASHINGTON, DC: Congressman David Price (NC-04), Chair of the House Democracy Partnership (HDP), released a statement on Vladimir Putin’s audacious and barbaric attack on Ukraine.   

“The premeditated and totally unjustified Kremlin-backed military invasion is a direct attack on the sovereignty, safety, and self-determination of Ukraine and its people,” said Congressman Price. “Putin alone is responsible for the death, suffering, and violence we are seeing—blood is on his hands.”  

“I support a strong, swift, and coordinated response from the United States and our allies, including inflicting crippling sanctions to punish Putin and hold his cronies accountable. We must make clear that violation of national sovereignty and unprovoked aggression will be met with dire consequences.” 

“Having visited Ukraine frequently, witnessed the democratic aspirations of its people directly, and worked closely with its parliament, I am appalled at this vicious attack. The courage and resolve of the Ukrainian people inspire the world, and the United States will stand by them in this time of great peril.”
